Volleyball Recap: Clermont Northeastern Comes Up Short

If Clermont Northeastern was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Bethel-Tate on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rockets fell just short of the Western Brown Broncos by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Rockets in their meetings with the Broncos: they've now lost three in a row.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Clermont Northeastern sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-23, 20-25, 25-17.

Clermont Northeastern's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Western Brown, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-4.

Clermont Northeastern wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Eastern on the 23rd. As for Western Brown, they will challenge New Richmond at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
