Basketball Recap: Constitution Victorious

Constitution hasn't had much luck at home recently (they'd lost three straight) but thanks in part to Nick Young that streak is no more. The Constitution Generals came out on top against the Paul Robeson Huskies by a score of 62-53 on Tuesday thanks to Young, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 16 boards. He is becoming a predictor of Constitution's success: when he posts at least eight rebounds the team is undefeated (and 8-9 when he doesn't).

Chaz Hannah was another key player, putting up six points. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in assists (three).

Despite the loss, Paul Robeson still got an impressive performance from Jasir Tyler, who went 7-for-11 on his way to 17 points along with eight steals and seven assists. Tyler is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least three every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Kobe Butler, who posted 17 points and five boards.

Constitution's win bumped their record up to 13-9. As for Paul Robeson, their loss dropped their record down to 17-7.

Constitution has already played their next matchup (against Samuel Fels), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Paul Robeson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
