Softball Recap: Teutopolis Comes Up Short

Teutopolis lost against Mt. Zion back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wooden Shoes lost 15-5 to the Braves. The Wooden Shoes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Teutopolis saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chloe Hoene, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Teutopolis' defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Mt. Zion, they pushed their record up to 2-1 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Teutopolis will head out on the road to square off against Vandalia at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mt. Zion, they will welcome Williamsville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Braves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bullets have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season.
