The Wakefield Wolverines will look to take advantage of their home-field for the first time this season as they take on the Southeast Raleigh Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Wakefield is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after opening their season on the road. They took a blow against Leesville Road on Friday, falling 49-20. The loss continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Pride: they've now lost nine in a row.

Meanwhile, Southeast Raleigh gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Enloe 49-15 at home. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 110th, while the Eagles are ranked 244th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Damonte Garner was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 73 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Powell, who threw for 279 yards and a touchdown while completing 81% of his passes.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Southeast Raleigh was moving up and down the field and finished the game with 492 total yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Enloe only gained 288.

Southeast Raleigh wouldn't let Enloe keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force four fumbles. Keysaun Eleazer led the group effort, picking up two of those forced fumbles all by himself.
