Baseball Recap: Belton Comes Up Short

Belton lost against Platte County back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Belton fell just short of Platte County by a score of 3-2. That's two games in a row now that Belton has lost by just one run.

Belton dropped their record down to 1-3 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Platte County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Coming up, Belton will challenge Fort Osage at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Platte County, they will square off against Park Hill at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Platte County is facing Park Hill at the right time seeing as Park Hill is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
