Basketball Recap: Martin Comes Up Short

Martin was the 31-29 winner over Richland when they last played one another back in November, but their luck changed this time around. The Martin Warriors were just a bucket shy of victory on Saturday and fell 49-48 to the Richland Royals. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Martin's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Richland, their victory bumped their record up to 9-11.

Martin will head out to challenge Grand Prairie at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Martin is facing Grand Prairie at the right time seeing as Grand Prairie is stuck on a 15-game losing streak. As for Richland, they will be playing at home against Grapevine at 5:45 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
