Basketball Game Preview: Indian Creek Eagles vs. Severn School Admirals

Indian Creek is 2-8 against Severn School since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Indian Creek Eagles will be playing at home against the Severn School Admirals at 5:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Indian Creek will bounce into Wednesday's matchup after beating St. John's Catholic Prep, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Indian Creek took down St. John's Catholic Prep 69-51 on Monday. The score was all tied up 33-33 at the break, but the Eagles were the better team in the second half.

Indian Creek's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Kyle Harvin, who posted 23 points, and Nick Parris, who put up 22 points. That's the most points Parris has posted since back in December of 2024. Jayden Abraham was another key player, putting up seven points.

Meanwhile, Severn School waltzed into their game on Wednesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They walked away with a 64-54 victory over the Saints. Given the Admirals' advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 26th, while the Saints are ranked 89th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Indian Creek has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-19 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.5 points over those games. As for Severn School, they pushed their record up to 16-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home.
