Volleyball Game Preview: Gray's Creek Bears vs. Lee County Yellow Jackets

The Gray's Creek Bears will square off against the Lee County Yellow Jackets at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Gray's Creek will be looking to extend their current 16-game winning streak.

Gray's Creek is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over South Johnston.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-10, 25-21.

Franklinton typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Lee County proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Red Rams by a score of 3-1.

Lee County had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-16, 26-24, 26-24.

Lee County's victory bumped their record up to 15-9. As for Gray's Creek, their win bumped their record up to 20-2.

Gray's Creek was able to grind out a solid victory over Lee County in their previous meeting back in October of 2016, winning 3-1. Will the Bears repeat their success, or do the Yellow Jackets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
