Basketball Recap: Waltrip Gets the Win

Waltrip hadn't done well against Sterling recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Waltrip Rams managed a 63-58 win over the Sterling Raiders. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 75-66 last Monday.

Waltrip's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Sterling, they dropped their record down to 3-8 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Waltrip and St. Pius X will face off at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Sterling and Mickey Leland College Preparatory Academy for Young Men will round out the year against one another at at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Sterling's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matches.
