Football Game Preview: Stone Tomcats vs. Vancleave Bulldogs + How To Watch

The Stone Tomcats are taking a road trip to challenge the Vancleave Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Stone will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Stone's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. Everything went their way against Purvis as they made off with a 26-0 victory.

Ayden Green and Zander Howard were among the main playmakers for Stone as the former rushed for 89 yards and one score and the latter rushed for 85 yards on only ten carries. Those 85 rushing yards gave Howard a new career-high.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Stone was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 224 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 178 rushing yards in four consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Vancleave unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 41-30 to Wayne County.

Stone now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Vancleave, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Stone suffered a grim 37-13 defeat to Vancleave when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Tomcats, Hunter Harper (who rushed for 80 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only seven carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
