Northview had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Maumee Panthers by a score of 6-2. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 7-5 victory the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Northview got a great performance from Graham Newnham as he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. Newnham has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Charlie Paulson was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Conner Draper, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Northview hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Northview pushed their record up to 13-10 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Maumee, they moved to 15-7 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Northview will take on Perrysburg at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
