Baseball Recap: Marlboro Takes a Loss

Marlboro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Manalapan Braves. If the Mustangs were looking for revenge after losing 7-6 to the Braves when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Marlboro's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Manalapan, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Marlboro is set to challenge their familiar foe Middletown North at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Manalapan will square off against rival Middletown South at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
