Basketball Recap: Smith Center Falls Short of Plainville in the Playoffs

Smith Center and Plainville squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Smith Center had to settle for second. They came up short against the Plainville Cardinals, falling 65-44. The Redmen haven't had much luck with the Cardinals recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Smith Center's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Mason Enochs, who went 6-for-9 en route to 15 points and three steals, and Brant Wilson, who posted 16 points and six rebounds. Enochs is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last eight games he's played.

Smith Center's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Plainville, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-6-1.

As of now, neither Smith Center nor Plainville have any future games scheduled.
