Softball Preview: Moorhead Spuds vs. Sartell-St. Stephen Sabres
The Moorhead Spuds are taking a road trip to square off against the Sartell-St. Stephen Sabres at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Tuesday, Moorhead beat Bemidji 9-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Spuds.

At the plate, Madden Bogenreif was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and one stolen base. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kellsey Kludt, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Sartell-St. Stephen entered their tilt with Alexandria on Tuesday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Cardinals a 6-0 shutout. Considering the Sabres have won three matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Sartell-St. Stephen's victory was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Kennedy Lewis, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Emma Good also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
