            Softball Recap: Dimond Lynx vs. Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears        
        
		
        
        
            It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Dimond had no problem doing just that  on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears, sneaking past  9-8. The  win was some much needed relief for the Lynx as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
 Aubree Ogee made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off   four  hits. Ogee was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with two  runs and one  double.
 In other batting news,  Rachel Whetten was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Kea D'Elia, who  went 2-for-4 with three  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  RBI.
Dimond now  has a winning record of 14-13. As for Juneau-Douglas, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 19-17-1 record  this season.
 Dimond will face off against Chugiak at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday. The Lynx's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 9.2  runs per game this season. Juneau-Douglas does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
