Basketball Recap: Blissfield Royals vs. Onsted Wildcats
After a string of three wins, the Blissfield Royals's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a 81-71 hit to the loss column at the hands of Onsted. Blissfield has not had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Ayden Davis was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 37 points and 22 rebounds for Onsted. Davis continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of JT Hill, who scored 11 points along with six assists and four steals.
Blissfield's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Onsted, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.
Blissfield will head out on the road to face off against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Onsted, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Bluestreaks at 7:00 p.m. Ida will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 214th, while the Wildcats are ranked 105th).
