Meanwhile, Venus earned a 44-35 victory over Godley last Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Alvarado is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.5 points per game. As for Venus, their win bumped their record up to 9-12.
