Volleyball Recap: Antelope Valley Takes a Loss

After flying high against Littlerock last Thursday, Antelope Valley came back down to earth. The Antelopes lost 3-0 to the Quartz Hill Royals on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Royals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 4th.

Antelope Valley took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-9, 25-10.

Antelope Valley has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season. As for Quartz Hill, the victory was the 16th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Antelope Valley is set to take on their familiar foe Eastside at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Quartz Hill will face off against rival Lancaster at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
