Baseball Game Preview: Kennedy Crusaders vs. Holy Trinity Tigers

Kennedy is 0-4 against Holy Trinity since May of 2015 but things could change on Saturday. The Crusaders will host the Tigers at 12:15 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

On Friday, Kennedy earned a 5-1 win over Goode STEM Academy.

Giovanni Rocha and Luke Zavala did most of the damage at the plate: Rocha went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double, while Zavala scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave Zavala a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alec Mendoza, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Holy Trinity got the win against Walther Christian Academy on Friday by a conclusive 12-2. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by eight runs or more this season.

Holy Trinity now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Kennedy, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
