Soccer Recap: Lake Taylor Takes a Loss

Lake Taylor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They lost 7-0 to the Deep Creek Hornets. If Lake Taylor were looking for revenge after losing 1-0 to Deep Creek when the teams met back in May of 2017, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Lake Taylor's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Deep Creek, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Coming up, Lake Taylor will look to defend their home pitch on Wednesday against Norcom at 4:00 p.m. Lake Taylor will be up against Norcom's rather soft defense (which has allowed 2.91 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Deep Creek, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Nansemond River on the 6th.
