Volleyball Recap: Five Straight Home Wins for Lakeland

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against NorthWood, Lakeland was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Churubusco Eagles 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Lakers have posted against the Eagles since October 6, 2020.

Lakeland's got stronger as the match went on, holding Churubusco to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-19, 25-12.

Lakeland's offense was headlined by ABRIANA SATTERFIELD and ZOEY BOWMAN, who picked up 11 kills apiece. They got some help from Anna Rasler and her 17 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

When it comes to explaining why Churubusco lost, don't look at Alyssa Marks. Despite the final result, she had ten assists and six digs.
