It was fun while it lasted, but Lakeside's undefeated season came to an end after nine games on Monday. They fell just short of the Logansport Tigers by a score of 15-14. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Warriors, who until this contest were averaging 2.9 runs allowed.
Meredith Robinson and Raleah Harris stepped up to the plate in a big way. Robinson scored two runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances, while Harris scored two runs while going 4-for-5. That's the most hits Harris has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Rhea Waller, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5.

Having lost for the first time this season, Lakeside fell to 9-1. As for Logansport, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-4.

Lakeside is on an 11-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), Red River a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field.
