Chris Blanco turned in yet another pitching appearance with more than eight strikeouts on Thursday. He struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). He is becoming a predictor of Standley Lake's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 4-2 (and 2-5 when he doesn't).

Coming up, Blanco and Standley Lake are taking a road trip to challenge Golden at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Blanco had to take a loss the last time the two teams duked it out, losing their contest back in May of 2024 5-2. If he drops another game like that, the outcome could be different this time around.
