Basketball Recap: Franklin Regional Panthers vs. Uniontown Red Raiders

After flying high against Albert Gallatin last Wednesday, Franklin Regional came back down to earth. The Franklin Regional Panthers lost to the Uniontown Red Raiders on the road by a 73-54 margin on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 75-58 back in January.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Uniontown to victory, but perhaps none more so than Calvin Winfrey, who went 9 of 19 en route to 24 points in addition to eight rebounds and seven assists. The game was Winfrey's ninth in a row with at least 20 points. Kelan Milsom was another key player, going 10 for 16 to rack up 23 points along with six boards and four steals.

Franklin Regional now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Uniontown, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.

As of now, neither Franklin Regional nor Uniontown have any future games scheduled.
