Recap: Springfield Senators vs. Rochester Rockets
The Springfield Senators lost against the Rochester Rockets back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Springfield fell just short of Rochester by a score of 53-50.
Rochester's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eli Cox, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds. Kai Bruce was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Springfield has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 15 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-19 record this season. As for Rochester, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-16.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Springfield will face off against Cahokia at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Springfield is facing Cahokia at the right time seeing as Cahokia is stuck on a 11-game losing streak. Rochester is on the road again on Tuesday and plays Sacred Heart-Griffin at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th.
