Baseball Game Preview: Edna Karr Cougars vs. Jesuit Blue Jays

Edna Karr is 0-4 against Jesuit since March of 2023 but things could change on Tuesday. The Edna Karr Cougars will square off against the Jesuit Blue Jays at 4:00 p.m. Edna Karr has given up an average of 7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Friday just wasn't the day for Edna Karr's offense. They came up short against Brother Martin on Friday, falling 15-0. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Jesuit faced Archbishop Rummel in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Jesuit never let Archbishop Rummel get on the board and left with a 9-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Blue Jays, who have now won eight matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Jesuit's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-5-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10.8 runs. As for Edna Karr, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Edna Karr suffered a grim 24-0 defeat to Jesuit when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Edna Karr avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
