Lafayette Jefferson had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Frontier Falcons. That's more bragging rights for the Bronchos, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Lafayette Jefferson had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-19, 25-14, 25-15.

Despite the loss, Frontier saw an underclassman step up: freshman Aaliyah Tillman had 12 assists and three aces.

Frontier's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Lafayette Jefferson will square off against West Lafayette at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Frontier, they will face off against West Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
