Volleyball Recap: Brevig Mission Comes Up Short

If Brevig Mission was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of James C Isabell last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Huskies came up short against the Shishmaref Northern Lights on Saturday, falling 3-0. The Huskies were not able to make up for their loss to the Northern Lights from their previous meeting back in November of 2021.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-14, 25-13.

This is the second loss in a row for Brevig Mission and nudges their season record down to 2-7. As for Shishmaref, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-7 record this season.

Shishmaref didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Aniguiin on the 8th. Hopefully Brevig Mission paid attention to the Northern Lights' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Northern Lights at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday.
