Basketball Recap: Laguna Blanca Takes a Loss

Laguna Blanca was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Villanova Prep Wildcats and fell 65-35. The Owls were down 49-24 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Villanova Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Neil Del Rosario, who posted 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Levi Burden Hahn, who had 14 points.

Laguna Blanca's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Villanova Prep, their win ended a 12-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-9.

Laguna Blanca has already played their next contest (against Thacher), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Villanova Prep will host Foothill Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Foothill Tech's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games.
