Baseball Recap: Immanuel Starts off Right with Win over Firebaugh

Immanuel had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. They put the hurt on Firebaugh with a sharp 21-7 win. The victory continues a trend for Immanuel in their matchups with Firebaugh: they've now won four in a row.

Julian Ornelas was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Zabe Gonzalez, who scored two runs while going 2-for-5.

Looking ahead, Immanuel will be playing in front of their home fans against Hoover at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Firebaugh, they will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Madera South at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
