Christian Duran's Big Game Leads Stamford over Anson

Christian Duran was instrumental in extending Stamford's winning streak to seven on Friday. Nobody could stop Duran as he rushed for 82 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, and also threw for 201 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.

Duran must have Anson's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. When Duran last faced the Tigers back in October of 2023, he rushed for 75 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, and also threw for 202 yards on only 16 passes.

Keagan Ables and Co. Win Seventh in a Row

Hawley picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Keagan Ables. Nobody could stop Ables as he threw for 223 yards and four touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes, and also rushed for 64 yards and a touchdown on only five carries.

Ables must have Olney's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. When Ables last faced the Cubs back in October of 2023, he threw for 233 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 11.7 yards per attempt.

Hawley picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Hunter Hudson. Hudson wasn't messing around, picking up two sacks and making eight total tackles (4.0 for loss). The contest was his fifth straight with six or more total tackles dating back to last season.

This season, Hudson has averaged 6.9 total tackles per game and for the season has 3 sacks.

His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 102 rushing yards dating back to last season.

For the season, Vega has run in 14 touchdowns while averaging 114.1 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 58.71 rushing yards per game.
