Soccer Game Preview: Academic Magnet vs. Waccamaw

The Academic Magnet Raptors will take on the Waccamaw Warriors in a tournament on Saturday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Academic Magnet unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of Cane Bay by a score of 1-0 on Friday. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Raptors couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, Waccamaw had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 2-0 to James Island on Friday.
