Wrangell posted their closest victory since November 23, 2024 on Thursday. They skirted past the Petersburg Vikings 2-1. That's more bragging rights for the Wolves, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Alana Harrison paced Wrangell's offense, picking up eight kills. Harrison got some help from Christina Johnson and her 20 assists. Johnson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Wrangell's win bumped their record up to 2-5-1. As for Petersburg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5.

Wrangell didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Skagway on the 16th. As for Petersburg, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Hoonah on the 16th.
