Basketball Recap: Caleb Foster's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Leadership Academy over Carver

Leadership Academy's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caleb Foster, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 15 boards. The dominant performance gave Foster a new career-high in rebounds. Caden Ryker was another key player, dropping a double-double with 15 points and ten assists.

Quinton Stone had an outrageously good game for Carver as he went 6-for-15 to rack up 28 points along with seven assists and five boards. Another player making a difference was Kejuan Bruton, who went 6-for-11 en route to 16 points and six rebounds.

Leadership Academy's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-7. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.0 points over those games. As for Carver, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-8.

Leadership Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-49 loss against College Prep & Leadership Academy on the 11th. As for Carver, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 89-75 victory against Phoenix Academy on the 12th.
