Baseball Recap: Amador Comes Up Short

Amador lost against Union Mine back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Buffaloes fell 8-4 to the Diamondbacks. The Buffaloes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brad Blankenheim was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. Amador is 5-1-1 when Blankenheim posts two or more runs, but 3-8 otherwise. Dominic Fillmore was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.

Amador now has a losing record of 8-9-1. As for Union Mine, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Diamondbacks beat Amador by a score of 5-1 on Thursday.
