League recap: Pauls Valley scores huge upset over Purcell

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Purcell, who took down 85th ranked Purcell, 28-13. Joe Foster threw for 151 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 20 yards in the win.

Madill extended the longest winning streak in 3A District 4 this week by beating Plainview, 59-45. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.

Pauls Valley's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground J.c. Eyabi chipped in 158 yards. Eyabi helped Pauls Valley's passing attack out by catching two balls for 52 yards.

Jake Hamilton was the best wideout in the league this week as the Panthers defeated the Dragons. Hamilton racked up four receptions for 52 yards.

Pauls Valley's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Panthers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Foster has thrown for 791 yards and six touchdowns this season, while Dewayne Sanders has 18 catches for 267 yards. Eyabi leads the league in rushing with 351 yards.

A big matchup in 3A District 4 this week will be when Madill takes on Purcell. Kerry Roberts's team is in first place, while Shannon Watford's team is in third place.

Dickson moved up to 106 from 137 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Comets were able to make the jump by beating Atoka 57-17.
