Soccer Game Preview: South San Francisco vs. Carlmont

The South San Francisco Warriors will venture away from home to challenge the Carlmont Scots at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Last Friday, South San Francisco came up short against Burlingame and fell 3-1.

Meanwhile, Carlmont lost 4-1 to Menlo-Atherton on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Scots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 330th, while the Bears are ranked 87th).

South San Francisco's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9-3. As for Carlmont, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-7-1.
