Basketball Recap: Jones Senior Takes a Loss

Jones Senior was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the Living Water Christian Warriors, falling 87-56. The Trojans were down 62-38 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

It was another big night for Jaiden Cooper, who dropped a double-double with 30 points and 17 rebounds for Living Water Christian. Cooper is becoming a predictor of the Warriors' success: when he posts at least 15 points the team is 3-1 (and 1-4 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Amari Moore, who almost dropped a double-double with 22 points and nine boards.

Jones Senior now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Living Water Christian, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.

Coming up, Jones Senior will be home for the holidays to greet Pamlico Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on the 18th. As for Living Water Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-46 victory against New Life Christian Academy on the 11th.
