Softball Recap: Benson Comes Up Short

After flying high against Santa Rita last Tuesday, Benson came back down to earth. The Bobcats lost 17-7 to the Willcox Cowboys on Wednesday. The Bobcats haven't had much luck with the Cowboys recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Karris Taylor was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI.

Benson now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Willcox, they pushed their record up to 12-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Benson will welcome Desert Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bobcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 9.1 runs per game this season. As for Willcox, they will face off against St. Augustine Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
