Soccer Game Preview: El Toro vs. Rancho Buena Vista

The El Toro Chargers will take on the Rancho Buena Vista Longhorns in a tournament on Saturday.

El Toro is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to six goals last Tuesday, they were much more limited against Corona del Mar on Thursday. They fell just short of the Sea Kings by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, Rancho Buena Vista put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. Their defense stepped up to hand Mission Vista a 2-0 shutout. The Longhorns' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matchups.

Hailey Benito and Maggie Elliott scored both of Rancho Buena Vista's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

El Toro now has a losing record at 1-2-1. As for Rancho Buena Vista, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.
