Basketball Recap: Sinton Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Sinton won against Calhoun last Thursday with 70 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. The Sinton Pirates blew past the Rockport-Fulton Pirates 70-47. Winning may never get old, but Sinton sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Rockport-Fulton lost, don't look at Roman Cox. Despite the final result, he went 7 for 13 on his way to 19 points. Brian Kizer Jr was another key player, putting up five points in addition to seven boards and five assists.

Sinton has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 7-17 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points per game. As for Rockport-Fulton, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-16.

Coincidentally, Sinton and Rockport-Fulton will both be playing Jones the next time they take the court. Sinton will head out to face Jones at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Rockport-Fulton will host them at 7:30 p.m. on February 4th.
