Basketball Recap: Hauser Falls Despite Big Games from Norah Berkenstock and June Berkenstock

Hauser lost against Jac-Cen-Del back in February of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hauser Jets fell 35-26 to the Jac-Cen-Del Eagles. The Jets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hauser's loss came despite strong showings from June Berkenstock and Norah Berkenstock. June posted five points and 12 boards, while Norah scored 11 points and five steals.

Jac-Cen-Del's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kelsey Borgman led the charge by putting up five points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Sullivan, who had nine points and six rebounds.

Hauser's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Jac-Cen-Del, they moved to 6-12 with that win, which also ended their seven-game losing streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hauser has already played their next match (against Morristown), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Jac-Cen-Del will venture away from home to challenge Switzerland County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Jac-Cen-Del is facing Switzerland County at the right time seeing as Switzerland County is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
