Volleyball Recap: Six Straight Road Victories for Christian Home Educators Fellowship

Acadiana Christian typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Christian Home Educators Fellowship proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Lions. This was a revenge game for the Patriots: when they faced off against the Lions back in August, they had to take a 3-0 loss.

Christian Home Educators Fellowship had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 14-25, 32-30, 25-22, 25-15.

Ava Cook paced Christian Home Educators Fellowship's offense, picking up 15 kills. Cook got some help from Sarah Shelby and her 27 assists. Shelby also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Violet Bernard, each putting up five.

When it comes to explaining why Acadiana Christian lost, don't look at Yvette Olivier. Despite the final result, she had 26 assists and 14 digs. Olivier has been hot for a while, having posted 13 or more assists the last 30 times she's played.

Christian Home Educators Fellowship's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-6. As for Acadiana Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-3-1.
