The Cougars narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Marauders 8-6. While the Cougars didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, High Point's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They came up short against Mount Olive, falling 9-2. The contest marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

High Point's loss dropped their record down to 8-4-1. As for Chatham, their win bumped their record up to 11-4.
