Basketball Recap: Rank Disadvantage No Problem for Katy

Katy's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They snuck past the Katy Taylor Mustangs with a 66-61 victory. The win was all the more spectacular given the Tigers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 321st, while the Mustangs are ranked 147th).

Katy's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Katy Taylor, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 13-4 record.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Jordan the next time they take the court. Katy will head out to face Jordan at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while Katy Taylor will host them at 7:00 p.m. on December 20th.
