Baseball Game Preview: Putnam City West Patriots vs. Minco Bulldogs

The Putnam City West Patriots will take on the Minco Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Putnam City West hasn't scored more than a single run for three games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Thursday as neither Putnam City West nor Bethany made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Patriots lost 8-0 to the Bronchos.

Putnam City West saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cadence Smith, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Minco fell victim to Southwest Covenant and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Patriots, falling 7-0.

Minco has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Putnam City West, their loss dropped their record down to 6-15.
