After a string of three wins, Macomb's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 8-3 to the Brimfield Indians. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bombers of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Macomb saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Langdon Lambert, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Macomb's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Brimfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3-1 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Macomb will welcome Camp Point Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brimfield, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Illini Bluffs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 9.8 runs per game this season.
