Wright came into Friday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Wind River Cougars by a score of 2-0 on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Jocelyn Umiker paced Wright's offense, picking up eight kills. Umiker got some help from Emilie Martinez-Reyes and her 16 assists. Tara Williams and Madison Rodriguez kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Wright's win bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Wind River, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Wright didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Greybull on the 12th. As for Wind River, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Sundance on the 12th.
