Geneva was not the first on the board on Monday, but they got there more often. They walked away with a 7-4 win over the Ariton Purple Cats. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 5-3 victory the Purple Cats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

The win made it two in a row for Geneva and bumps their season record up to 2-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs over those games. As for Ariton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Geneva will host Charles Henderson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ariton, they will welcome Headland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Headland is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.8 runs per game this season.
