Baseball Recap: Lakeside Takes a Loss

Lakeside lost against Freeman back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagles came up short against the Scotties, falling 12-6. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lakeside saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kannon Almond, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Lakeside's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Freeman, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 13-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lakeside will face off against Almira-Coulee-Hartline at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for Freeman, they will take on Liberty at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The timing is sure in the Scotties' favor as the squad sits on eight straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while the Lancers have been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road.
